The National Research Council’s Pandemic Response Challenge program (PRCP) was a $15M initiative that brought together several partners on 67 projects aiming to advance rapid detection, therapeutics, virtual healthcare, and adaptive responses.

Hosted by the Life Sciences division, the PRCP was a special 2-year program that aimed to fast-track research and development for pandemic-related challenges and gaps identified by Canada's health experts. 

The PRCP has enabled Canada to be better prepared for future pandemics and other health emergencies.
